The object is staged only after you choose a destination. The receiving tool consumes the handoff once and continues with the same browser-local bytes or text.
Choose once.
Keep moving.
HANDOFF is the local routing layer between 2XBR tools. File, text or URL stays on this origin, gets a short-lived one-use handoff and moves into the destination without making you select or paste it again.
Start handoff →Hand it off.
Don’t start over.
Choose one object once. HANDOFF shows compatible 2XBR destinations and moves the same local object through a one-use browser handoff.
Archive, image, structured-data and URL signals change the destination set so UNPACK, EXACT, MASK, JSON or URL tools appear when they actually make sense.
HANDOFF moves context between tools on the same 2XBR origin. BEAM remains the device-to-device WebRTC transfer product.
The v1 envelope gives WEB one vocabulary for object kind, media, size, source, lifetime and destinations without changing the shared BRIDGE/CLI protocol yet.
